Story-telling Workshops by best-selling author Chris Smith

Chris will be visiting two junior schools in the day with a special Creating Stories workshop. Then in the evening he’ll be bringing those ideas to life as kids and their parents join him for a session in the church. He’ll also be talking about the Northamptonshire roots of his stories, answering questions and maybe even giving a sneak peek of some work in progress!

About Chris

Chris, along with his co-author Greg James, are Primary School Alliance Ambassadors for the National Literacy Trust and he has played a key role in raising awareness that more needs to be invested in primary school libraries.

As well as writing four books in the Kid Normal Series, Chris is the author of Frankie Best Hates Quests and The Great Dream Robbery. He’s carried out creative sessions all over the UK as well as in America encouraging children to make up their own stories.

Chris has wanted to be an author ever since the age of eight, when his story about a biscuit-loving dinosaur won the HE Bates Short Story Competition.
